• All services offered are fee-for-service as Nurse Practitioners cannot bill OHIP, as per the Canada Health Act.

We are an alternative option to OHIP insured services.

  • Why choose care from a Nurse Practitioner?

Currently,  3 million Canadians are already under the care of an NP. Our patients enjoy quality primary care and NP’s deliver this care. NP’s are perfectly suited for primary care because of the practical nursing and hospital-based experience they all have.

  • What do Nurse Practitioners do?

Nurse Practitioners provide all services you can expect to receive at a traditional family clinic, and more. Some of the services include the following: assessments, diagnosis, minor stitches, order & interpret all lab tests, order diagnostic imaging tests, consult and refer directly to specialists, and prescribe medications.

  • What does Kayla specialize in?

Kayla specializes in dermatology, women’s health, medical cosmetics, and tailored skincare. Our team is dedicated to enhancing your health and beauty. We offer a holistic approach to your well-being. Discover the perfect balance of vitality, confidence, and radiant skin with our specialized services.

  • Why is the service paid?

We’re a private clinic and our services are not covered by OHIP. Unfortunately, the system hasn’t yet adjusted to the way that healthcare is evolving. As nurse practitioners, OHIP currently pays for the diagnostic and laboratory tests requested, but they are unable to bill OHIP for their services.

  • Why don’t other nurse practitioners charge fees for their services?

The majority of NPs employed in Ontario work as part of a team in places like hospitals, community health centres, and family health teams. Their salaries are funded by specific ministry dollars. NP’s who work independently are not paid by the province.

  • Why do you need my OHIP info?

We need your OHIP info in case we need to order third party services, such as diagnostics and other tests.
